Welcome to the center of timeless being, to your true nature that is always present, and the ground in which all experiences arise. How beautiful that we need no special circumstance, situation or technique to realize what we truly are. Yet, practically, we need community, teachings and a mentor to reveal what otherwise appears to be eternally elusive.
The Center of Timeless Being website is a portal to what is already yours, already here in your heart, ready to be claimed the moment you fall into your absolute stillness. I look forward to our meeting where there is neither self nor other, only this moment of timeless being.

Who We Are. The Center of Timeless Being is dedicated to the path of self-inquiry and to all who aspire to awaken to their true nature as the formless sacred mystery of Being that underlies all of life. Find out more about who we are.
The Teachings. Nondualism sings the song of Oneness and emphasizes direct experience rather than mere intellectual understanding. We find these teachings at the root of all the world's spiritual paths including Gnostic Christianity, East Indian Advaita, Japanese Zen, Chinese Chan, and Tibetan Dzogchen. To learn more, and to read and listen to articles and interviews, visit our teachings page.
Community. Sangha, or community is vital to our realization and embodiment of true nature in daily life. Through community we are able to recognize and heal the myriad ways in which we've divide ourselves into separate parts. When we are finally able to see ourself in everyone, and everything, we are truly living the nondual teachings. To learn more about the community and how you can become involved visit our sangha page.
Events. The Center of Timeless Being offers events, including satsangs, intensives, retreats, and special trainings. To view the calendar and listing of upcoming events, visit our events page.

Join Richard Miller in this lively discussion of the ancient transformative tantric meditative practice of Yoga Nidra (yoga = embodying what is timeless + nidra = across all states of consciousness) that leads to psychological, physical and spiritual healing. The ultimate design of Yoga Nidra is to help us live awakened and contented lives, free of conflict, anxiety, fear and suffering. The protocol is integrative, as it heals unresolved traumas that are present in the body, mind and senses; and restorative, as it reveals our inherent ground of unchanging pure Being that is always whole and healthy even in the midst of the changing events or traumas of daily life.
Yoga Nidra, and Richard’s modern adaptation of it for the western world, which he calls Integrative Restoration - iRest is a secular practice consisting of 20-35 minute sequences, which emphasize:
- Awareness of the physical body and breath
- Systematic desensitization to neutralize and resolve negative sensation, stress, emotion, belief, image and memory
- An experience of joy and well-being
- The embodiment of equanimity amidst the changing circumstances of life
iRest enables participants to:
- Embody skills that they can use throughout their lifetime
- Heal through trauma
- Experience a sense of mastery when encountering difficult situations
- Awaken to and embody the unchanging state of wholeness that pervades every moment of daily life and ultimately

Join Richard for this illuminating presentation of the simple yogic teaching that underlies all approaches to meditation. Meditation grows naturally when we recognize the heartfelt essence of pure Being as our inherent ground of joy and equanimity. Meditation takes root when we realize that every experience is born, unfolds, decays and dissolves in pure Being. Meditation blossoms when we experience pure being as always present, in every moment, even in the midst of ordinary and difficult circumstances. Meditation flowers when we awaken to the ‘one taste that is the entire universe and ourselves, our most intimate feeling of pure Being that is always prior to, and accompanies every experience.
The natural tendency of the mind is to identify with whatever thought or emotion is present and forget its essential nature as pure Being. Co-arising with forgetting is the feeling of separation: the feeling that something is amiss. The good news is that the feeling of separation is a messenger. Separation reveals that our mind is moving away from its homeground of pure Being and is becoming lost in the world of experience. This understanding orients us to meditation where we become devoted to releasing attention into our heart feeling of pure Being. As pure Being moves foreground, it outshines the feeling of separation. Meditation is the simple act of abiding in and as the radiant heart feeling of pure Being in the midst of all circumstances. When all of life is recognized to arise, unfold, decay and dissolve in and as pure Being, everything is realized to be unqualified pure Being.
Meditation: The Doorway to Who You Are

Join Richard for a captivating presentation where he presents time-honored yet easy to follow instruction for bringing meditation into our daily life.
From the yogic perspective, meditation is a way of life, rather than a particular technique. When we are oriented in this simple understanding, meditation becomes something we keep with us all day long, rather than leaving it on the mat in our practice room. Every moment becomes a doorway, or portal through which meditative understanding, as a heartfelt realization, enters into and informs every aspect of our life.
If you are new to meditation, or a long-standing practitioner, this discussion will enliven and deepen your understanding and practice of meditation. Richard draws upon his experiential understanding of Samkhya, Patanjali, Advaita, Kashmir Nondualism, Tantra, Buddhism and Judeo-Christian traditions as he weaves his presentation on the timeless teachings that underlie meditation
